Lovely hotel, healthy food, great staff but we couldn't enjoy the spa facilities this time.

Breakfast good and very healthy. Handy for the hospital

We didn't use the facilities as there was no bath robe or slippers in our room. This was our first time so didn't understand the protocol. The management did compensate us without asking so first class service.

Wonderful

The breakfast is great, as always, the room is big and cozy and the staff is great. We also spent some time at the gym, which is well equipped.

The SPA needs some attention. We went to this hotel several times before, and this time we found 2 of the 4 Jacuzzis not working, and the Sauna and the Turkish Bath weren't very hot when we went early in the morning.

absolutely superb

Massages were fantastic, spa was lovely, not huge but it was never that busy. The room was great and all the staff were friendly. Location was an easy walk to Alvor town and good for driving to portimao too.

Only minor complaint is that the gym equipment seemed poorly chosen and was quite limiting. It would have been great to have a cable machine with adapters but instead there was a fixed in rack with loads of resistance bands and a hand cable machine. Not like it spoiled my stay but if there was someone going with the intent of having proper gym sessions you may have to manage expectations.

Immaculate hotel with bespoke spa and exercise program let down by lack of information

The hotel is immaculate in terms of cleanliness and its facilities. Our bed was probably the most comfortable we have ever slept in at a hotel. Breakfast was very good with a host of healthy options - a refreshing change from the norm. Access to the gym and excellent spa plus a varied daily program of freely available exercise and health tutorials.

Availability of information about hotel facilities and how to access them on site was poor. We were directed to a QR code which gave a 50 page menu of info and treatments etc. I do not think I have ever stayed at a hotel without an in room information guide.......asking reception for info on everything became laborious and unnecessary......thankfully we did not need to fire escape otherwise we would have perished ! Booking extra sessions eg; yoga was not explained. The in room open plan bathroom/toilet layout contained in open clear (not frosted) glass will not suit everyone. Because of early flight times we were given a breakfast box - this consisted of water, two dry bread rolls, two packaged cakes and a carton of walnuts and almonds !

Fantastic hotel, which we will come back to.

The whole experience was delightful, and great value for money. Breakfast was a real treat and part of the room cost. Evening meals were delicate, high end cooking, and all the staff were courteous, pleasant and helpful. The Spa facilities were superb.

Very Good

Hotel staff are extremely good and are a credit to the establishment. Particular shout out to Cristionaldo on reception and the restaurant staff led by a friendly, helpful, and able management team. I'm not a natural health disciple, but the breakfasts were superb and the food tasty. Hotel beds were superb for a good night's sleep and no noise from the adjoining rooms. It was a pleasure to be there.

Possibly a wider selection of food on the evening menu. Could be something to do with the timing of the visit (early October). Otherwise, nothing else to say

Nice spa, friendly staff and good sized clean rooms, plenty of parking.

Breakfast buffet was limited and very repetitive. You could also only order scrambled eggs each morning (not fried, poached etc..) Room AirCon when switched on constantly blew cold air directly at the bed (even at lowest setting) no way of directing this away so you were either too hot or had cold air blowing directly on you at night. Outdoor pool water was FREEZING, even on a hot day this wasn't comfortable, many guests didn't even bother getting in as it was just too cold. We had to keep asking for fresh pool towels and robes as the cleaners on more than one occasion forgot to put them in our room (they would take the old ones away and not replace them, this became frustrating to keep asking for something so basic) Upon checking in with the spa we were told that the use of Swimming Caps and rubber soled flip flops were mandatory to use in the Spa. If they had told us that once we'd made the hotel reservation we would have brought our own, instead we had to purchase these from themselves at an inflated cost. Clearly an upsell which we and lots of other guests had no other option but to buy some from them. The spa itself was nice but lots of things not working and the jacuzzi pools are very, very tiny. There is no indoor swimming pool which wasn't great considering the one outside was more like an ice bath! This hotel was more like a 4 star hotel but definitely not 5 im afraid. Although friendly, the staff lack attentiveness and attention to detail.

Excellent and very relaxing

The breakfast was fantastic with a lot of variety. I loved the care of details, for example the oil burner at the room with a really pleasant and relaxing smell. The spa was well organised as well.

The speed bumps at the entrance to the hotel. There was no warning and being made of the same bricks as the rest of the road it was hard to notice them. Even with low velocity, I scraped the whole bottom of my car (the car is sport one and it has a low suspension but it never happened with any other road bumps). There should be a warning or different kinds of bumps.

Amazing- I'll return in a heart beat

I absolutely loved my stay here, such a tranquil spot, staff were all great. Breakfast was amazing ( no idea why any reviews say anything else) the spa facilities were brilliant. And I loved the additional option of classes, I went to pilates, astrology and even circuit training , instructors were all genuine, professional people who worked to get the best out of the classes various abilities. I would come back in a heart beat . Though suggest walking into town for lunch and dinner, menu for this is overpriced and incredibly small portions - perhaps designed for those on very low calorie diet.

The concept of the hotel is good and the dish is really nice

The service is so slooow. Good be better to correspond to 5 stars. We arrived one hour after possible check in and were asked to wait one more hour, as they had to clean our room. What? While we waited we missed our booked hour in the spa. That we had one hour only in spa, we found out only in spa. But on the phone they confirmed for 3 hours, not 1.

Relaxing and rejuvenating.

Beautiful location , half hour walk from a lovely beach and 20 minutes walk to variety of local restaurants. Very clean and well organised. Delicious breakfast with lots of options .

The Spa is quite small and I imagine would be crowded if the hotel was full

The breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of quality choices . View from our room and the dining area is lovely.

We are not fans of the glassed in bathroom . Although we had the blind down for privacy at night one had to be careful returning to bed.

Very Good

The hotel was great and the staff were lovely. My room was a good size and incredibly clean. There were a wide variety of healthy breakfast and lunch options.

The bathroom was glass! There was a blind you could pull down on one side but I'm very glad I wasn't sharing the room with anyone. The spa was nice, but several of the facilities weren't working. I had two treatments, the masseuse was 20 mins late for the first one, she said she didn't know I was there, despite me checking in 5 minutes early, the second treatment was 30 mins late.

Great hotel for a healthy spa break in a lovely beach town. Super breakfasts.

Overall love the feel and the atmosphere. Breakfast is a highlight. And the complimentary activities are appreciated.

The bathroom needs to be more private in the room. You should be warned that you have your wear a hat and flip flops in the spa.
